GREEN AWARENESS
at Day Packaging Company
Waste minimization is an integral part of our manufacturing workflow.
Planning, design, layout and scheduling at Day are focused on high quality and high efficiency.
During the various manufacturing processes, consistent and careful attention go toward safety, energy conservation, and resource conservation practices.
Paperboard fiber can be recycled, biodegraded, and composted. It can be incinerated to produce energy. Recovered paper accounted for 37.1 percent of the U.S. paper industry's fiber needs in 2004.

Day Packaging Company is committed to environmental stewardship. We actively support efforts toward responsible and sustainable use and re-use of materials, resources and energy whenever and however possible.
Increasing awareness and action
More than ever, Day Packaging is dedicated to a broader and more intense scope of "best practices" in response to green guidelines and initiatives.

We recommend environmentally responsible materials to our customers. We purchase supplies from manufacturers with track records and ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility.
Renewable, recyclable, biodegradable, and compostible paperboard is nearly always a first choice, as is paperboard that already contains recycled material.
From chemicals used in pre-press operations to press room solvents, inks and coatings; from cleaning supplies to carton adhesives, we make studied choices: maximize utility, minimize environmental impact.
